Dopamine Dressing with Kerri Robertson: How to Style Colour, Prints & Classics with Confidence
Collaboration Spotlight: Styling with Kerri Robertson
We recently partnered with fashion stylist Kerri Robertson (@heres_to_you_mrsrobertson), sending her pieces from our latest release to style in her own unique way.
For us, Kerri is the queen of dopamine dressing—she has an incredible talent for creating joyful looks that radiate positivity and confidence. With a vast Instagram following, she inspires midlife women to embrace fashion, especially those who, like her, are glamorously tall (Kerri stands at 178cm). Her fabulous taste and refreshing outlook on life make her the perfect partner for this collaboration.
Dopamine Dressing for Everyday Style
We all need a little pick-me-up from time to time. Dopamine dressing is the intentional practice of styling yourself in ways that lift your mood—through colour, texture, or personal significance. The concept is simple: what we wear can directly influence how we feel and perform, with certain colours evoking calm, grounding, energy, or joy.
With that in mind, nothing captures dopamine dressing better than our vibrant Soiree print—a kaleidoscope of jewel tones designed to boost joy.
Kerri styled the Soiree print beautifully, pairing it with a pink bag, pearl earrings, and a pop of matching lipstick.
As a tall woman, Kerri loved our new separates, especially how she could adjust pant leg lengths to flatter her proportions. She was particularly impressed with the Kyle Top, noting its belted double-back bodice that smooths and flatters the figure, plus the elegant peplum detail.
She paired it with our Tall Monroe Pants, a pull-on style with side pockets, a deep hemline, and a straight-leg cut, available in three lengths and made from our signature dry-touch jersey. She said the look felt “comfortable yet put-together.”
Embracing Classic Tones
Sometimes simplicity speaks volumes. Navy and black are timeless classics—perfect for polished, professional looks that exude quiet sophistication.
Kerri styled our black faux jumpsuit look, created with two versatile separates. She has reached for Kyle Top and her favourite Black Monroe Pants and elevated it with gold accessories.
“Sometimes jumpsuits aren’t long enough for me, so this faux jumpsuit effect gives me the fit I want with all the style. This black top and pant combo, make me feel like a million dollars” - Kerri Robertson
She also created a full navy ensemble with the matching Kyle Top and Monroe Pants, accessorised with a gold pendant, nude bag, and shoes for a polished, professional look, finished with the Benni Jacket for added structure.
For a casual weekend outfit, she styled the faux jumpsuit with a leather belt, woven bag, and sneakers, again layering the Benni Jacket to introduce texture and character.
The Power of Novelty: Stepping Outside the Comfort Zone
Trying new styles, bold prints or colours can spark joy, reduce stress, and shift perspective. As Kerri showed, even small fashion risks can transform how we feel.
One standout was the Panthera print faux jumpsuit look. Kerri styled Kyle Top and Monroe Pant in Panthera with black heels, a red lip, a gold woven bag, and drop pearl earrings for a glamorous evening feel. Adding a long pendant necklace instead of a belt created an effortless, comfort-first alternative.
Another standout was the Ink Olympia Print, a classic navy-and-white design. Kerri added a pop of colour with a red bag and lipstick, complemented by gold accessories for contrast. She also paired the Olympia print with our Navy Monroe Pants for a chic block-colour variation, anchoring the look with the Benni Jacket in Navy for a perfect balance of elegance and effortless ease.
Building Confidence Through Style
As Kerri reminds us, the ultimate goal of dopamine dressing is to wear what reflects how you feel—not what others expect you to wear. By tracking which outfits make you feel confident and which don’t, you can build a wardrobe that uplifts your mood and empowers your day.
For us, collaborating with Kerri Robertson has been an absolute joy. She embodies everything we love about fashion: creativity, confidence, and the ability to lift spirits through style.
