There are trips you plan, and then there are journeys that unfold on their own — with unexpected meetings, spontaneous laughter, and those gentle moments that change you just a little.
Fleur’s recent trip to Hobart was just that. A long-awaited escape, a heart-led adventure, and a quiet celebration of the magic that happens when women cross paths and stories intertwine.
Finally, Hobart
After being thwarted by lockdowns and postponed plans (three times!), Fleur finally made it to Hobart.
There’s something about Hobart. The cool air that wraps around you like a soft scarf, the cobblestone lanes that whisper stories of old, and the deep sense of soul that seems to breathe from every corner.

When Fleur touched down in Tasmania, it was more than just a trip — it was a celebration of the connections we’ve built through fashion, community, and courage.
A Dinner to Remember
The evening began in style with pre-dinner cocktails at the moody and beautiful Mary Mary, tucked just beneath the sandstone beauty of The Tasman Hotel. A cheeky vino, warm laughter, and a few nervous first-time hellos quickly turned into animated conversation.

From there, the group strolled — “very Sex and the City style,” as Fleur described it — to dinner at Peppina, where the energy softened into deep chats, shared stories, and the kind of joy you can’t quite plan for.
From Solo to Sisterhood
While Fleur arrived alone, she didn’t stay that way for long - a warm group of L+F customers gathered with courage, style, and stories that echoed. A new job, a life pivot, a personal reinvention — the themes were as layered and real as the food on the table.

One woman shared how L+F gave her the confidence to start her consultancy after decades in corporate. Another came along not knowing anyone — and left with hugs, phone numbers, and plans to reconnect.

“There’s something truly powerful about women coming together — strangers at first, but by the end of the night, sharing stories, laughter, and a sense of belonging. It’s moments like these that remind me why this community means so much.” — Fleur, Founder & Creative Director of Leina + Fleur
These weren’t just conversations. They were connections. The kind that remind us how powerful women can be for each other — not in competition, but in celebration.
Wandering for Inspiration
Between sips of coffee and gallery visits, Fleur wandered through Hobart’s winding laneways, markets, and harbourfront. She took quiet notes, captured textures, colours, and silhouettes — finding inspiration in a rusted ship hull, a local artist’s print, a cascading wall of ivy.

And quietly, with intention, she was sneak peeking two very special prints that are coming soon to L+F…
Wine, Women and Magic Moments
The weekend continued with a group of powerhouse women exploring some of Tasmania’s most breathtaking wineries. Glass in hand, stories flowing, we watched the afternoon sun melt over the vines. There’s a certain alchemy when women come together like this — strangers becoming sisters, laughter layered with depth, and support that feels effortless.

Why We Do This
These meetups remind us that connection can happen in the most unexpected places. A kindred spirit across a dinner table. A shared smile in a vineyard. A compliment that turns into a conversation that turns into a friendship.
This trip was a reminder that while clothes are what we make, connection is what we’re really sewing together. From solo flights to shared toasts, from bold prints to brave conversations — this is what L+F stands for.
To the extraordinary Hobart women who welcomed Fleur so warmly: thank you. You made this journey unforgettable.
For Those Who Couldn’t Be There…
To the many L+F women who couldn’t join Fleur in Hobart — we felt you in spirit. And here’s a little something to look forward to: our next L+F meetup could be coming to your city this year.
In the meantime, reach out — to a fellow L+F woman in your town, to someone you’ve seen in the comments, to a connection waiting to be made. This community is here for you. And you never know what magic can begin with a simple hello.
