We have been very excited to hand over a very large cheque – literally, to Taryn Brumfitt, going towards the making of a new film, Embrace for Kids, and had the fantastic opportunity to have a catch-up, where we discussed the latest project and her work that is making a change across generations.
With Taryn being a front runner in the body image movement, and our brand being highly passionate about inclusivity within our industry, we partnered up with our amazing community to raise money through our L&F Twenty Five to Strive program, established to elevate and amplify women and charitable foundations.
We donated $25 for every Stella dress sold within the Stella Campaign period and our incredible community stepped up to not only embraced the Stella’s, but also shared their amazing images through their own networks.
What will this money go towards?
The film Embrace For Kids, explores the relationship children have with their bodies, why so many boys and girls hate their bodies and what we can do about it. The film will cover topics including social media, photoshopping, ‘fitspiration’, the influence of media and advertising on body image and role models.
This film will be a FREE resource and available, to all children between the ages of 8 - 12 , available through schools, nation-wide to educate the next generation to embrace their bodies.
